Introducing our Mini Home Stories
This year, we’re excited to bring you a BRAND NEW set of Mini Home Stories – specially designed for children and their caregivers. These stories are more than just books; they’re tools to spark imagination, learning, and connection between children and the adults in their lives.
At the start of the year, give out the activity books to children and their caregivers. These books provide fun, engaging activities that support early literacy and learning at home. Then, each month, share one of the Mini Home Storybooks. By introducing a new story monthly, you keep the excitement alive, encourage regular reading habits, and provide caregivers with practical ways to support their child’s development.
How to Use Your Mini Home Stories
1. Start strong: Distribute the activity books to children and caregivers at the beginning of the year.
2. Monthly storytelling: Share one Mini Home Story each month. These can be read at home or during Story Days, helping children develop listening, comprehension, and creativity skills.
3. Support caregivers: At Story Days or Open Days, guide caregivers on how to tell stories effectively. Model reading aloud, encourage expressive storytelling, and show them ways to engage children with questions and prompts.
4. Inspire at home: Encourage families to revisit stories at home, try the accompanying activities, and make reading a fun, interactive part of their routine.
Sneak peek: Watch (and share!) our video to see the Mini Home Stories in action. Get inspired by how these stories can create memorable learning experiences for children while strengthening caregiver involvement.
By sharing these stories regularly, you’re helping children develop language, curiosity, and confidence, while giving caregivers the tools to support their child’s early learning journey. With your guidance, storytelling becomes a powerful way to connect, learn, and have fun together throughout 2026.
